Looks as if my first Hager will arrive on 11th,but no brass as of yet,so 30 Rem will have to do for now.
I may have to set it aside until Ist for i'm in the middle of running some gun-tests on factory rifle's at my Range.
This weather is crazy 70,80's Sunny,humid...Not Christmas like at all.

Christmas is here. -1° F and 10 inches of snow. I just haven"t been highly motivated to plow snow at the range. Maybe I'll get to it this week sometime. Supposed to get to 25° by Wednesday. WOO-HOO almost a heatwave.
Got some loads ready to work up. Been cool in the load shack. I don't really like working loads when the weather is cold cuz I'll have to do it again come spring.

Yah, mc223, I did get to the range for a very short afternoon that weekend, but my time wasn't very productive. I did manage to get on paper @ 100 yards with my first round, then spent some time breaking in the barrel,shoot one, clean, shoot one, clean...) even though lots of folks think that's unnecessary with a hand-lapped barrel. After the 5th round I wasn't seeing any copper any longer so I think it was worth it.

As it was only 42 degrees the time spent in the 80 degree range shed was welcome.

Then I discovered I'd left my short-line rounds for testing at home so there went the mag-feed testing I'd wanted to do.

Bare Lapua 105's shoot fine out of the Jameson cases I prepped & loaded up with N540 but I was being conservative with my loads & didn't see anything above 2600 fps so there's work to be done & lot's of room left in the case. I was getting 5-round groups of an inch or better so I'm pleased.

When it began to snow I knew my testing session was about to end. I'm about 2/3'rds of the way through 500 R/P cases at present, with maybe another 40 Jameson still in the bag to work up too so April's a long way off right now.
