I have had distemper (some call it a cold, but jackasses get distemper rather than colds) for almost 2 weeks and I am a little hesitant to shoot in this cold weather. However, I bought a box of the new Alpha Dasher brass and have turned the necks on 50 of them (they will be shot in a .269 neck chambering). I found the brass to be very consistent in all of its measurements, but also found that it has less capacity than does my Lapua that has been fired many times. I reduced my Reloder 15 load by .3 grains before testing the new brass. I am going to try a couple loads later today if the weather warms some. Brian Allen has done some excellent PRS shooting with this brass straight from the box, i.e. without any fireforming. I am looking forward to testing this new brass.
