Rebarrel a TRG-22

I have a TRG-22 in 308 and absolutley love it! I love it so much, it needs a new barrel, and was thinking of going to a 6.5mm or even a 6mm. I know a 260 will work, as Europtics sells them, but was wondering if anyone has done a 6.5 Creedmoor or any of the 6mm cartridges. My concerns are that they may not feed from the magazine and that the bolt face may not work. Is there anything else I may be missing?

It's the same family group so you should have no issues feeding from the magazine. The bolt face is exactly the same. 243, 260, 7-08, 338 federal, 6.5 creedmoor will all work out of an action designed for a 308. Basically all are necked up/down 308's.

Do it. I love my factory TRG-22 in 260. Rem. Will be putting a new barrel on it this winter, sticking with the .260 because I have brass and dies.

With a little work I will have a 20 round mag that feeds in the trg too. Should be nice at the tactical shoots next year.

7-08 would be sweet too. hope it turns out great. I think Benchmark has done a TRGs.

Thanks for your help! Was toying with a 6mm cartridge, but decided on a 260. There are many out there and I know it will work without any mag mods.
