Rear bag

hey guys having trouble finding a rear bag high enough for what I need. Shooting off a atlas bipod on front I need a rear bag at the back around 5 inches high based on measurements of what I currently use which is a block of wood with a heat pack filled with some sort of beads I have around the house.

Most seem to Be lower than this Caldwell makes a rear bag bunny ear type that is 4 inches high thinking maybe I can use that and use some ply or something underneath too add height?? Does anyone know any other options or should I look down the prs type bag path they seem to have bags that will Be high enough but was hoping to find a bunny ear type one as these are supposed to Be better for prone which is all I do.

Thanks

If you call Protektor you can take any one of their bags, like the Doctor bag, and modify it any way you want. You could have them build up the bottom or they make, for lack of better terminology, "spacers" to add height to your rear bag. They are VERY helpful people. Call them, explain what you want and they WILL make it AND fill it with heavy sand for you if you want>>>>and it will be at your door in less than 3 weeks!

Don't use plywood, you're going to be sliding all over with that. Rear bag must be stable. Edgewood make a dead bottom base and there are others. Have a great Christmas!

If you use wood place or glue a piece of rubber shelf liner on it it makes the back not slide. I use a piece on the bench also. Matt

I ordered a Doctor also custom made and I LOVE IT!!! I had them move the ears to the high point of the bag instead of being in the middle, three stitches, and super slick ears. Don't forget the heavy sand. I also ordered the suede bench bottom thing that makes the bag not move at all.

Best buying experience I have had in awhile. Will do it again.

drywall sanding screen, 9×11" will keep your bag and spacers from sliding around.
Allways use a piece under the rear bag.
