Rear bag suggestions

I have a Caldwell br front rest and I have to sit my Caldwell rear bag on top of a piece of 2x6” wood to get it up high enough.
I want to see what bag you would recommend in the $100-$200 range. I use my rifles to punch paper with multiple guns to sight in and occasion do a pdog hunt on a shooting table.

The kind of bag that works best for you will depend on your shooting style. Bags designed for formal benchrest, done with suitable rifles, shot free recoil, tend to be more rigidly constructed than those that are designed for bag squeezing. Generally, it is difficult to have optimal fit when an number of different stocks that have different butt designs are to be used. On the other hand, if you hold your rifles and squeeze your rear bag to aim, a soft bag may be your friend, and fit will be less critical. Generally it has been my experience that typical varmint rifles are poor candidates for free recoil shooting..

Do you like the caldwell rear bag? Is just the height an issue?

Do you find that the 2x6 solution works for your multiple rifles?

I'm assuming you're not doing any PRS / Positional type of events?

If so, then Protektor will most likely have something that works for you. If not, call them up and they'll make it for you

Correct it’s more of a height issue. The Caldwell br rest sits higher then my older regular one so the block of wood gets it at the height I need
No doing any prs or shooting competitions other then against myself and improving my marksmanship
The rest sits at its lowest point so I would be ok if I got to raise it a little. The tables at Ben Avery to me sit a little low and have to look for the shorter stool if it’s available.
One of the employees did mention people bring their own stool which makes sense and will explorer that option later
