Rear Bag Help

Fellas, I bought this stock for my F/Tr build. What rear bag would yall recommend and what ear size and spacing? The cut out section where the bag rides is 1.25" wide.

Call Protektor and tell them what you have. They will make what you need. Not to hijack your thread, but can you tell me the advantage to having the bottom of the stock notched? Thanks.

From all I've heard and experienced you want a bag with ear spacing .25 inch narrower than the bottom of the buttstock...1/8 inch "squeeze" on each side, so in your case that would be 1 inch ear spacing if my math is right but as others have said, check with stock maker is excellent advice.

From the picture, some of the popular bags may not fit in the space available, and if you find one that is short enough to fit, it would be a bit wobbly at full height, so you may want to go with a relatively short bag, and get your elevation with spacers. Also, it looks to me like you may have an issue with your vertical aiming mechanism, or rather lack of. The part where a bag would ride seems to be pretty close to parallel to the barrel CL and without a front rest, you will either have to have a bipod that has an easy to use fine vertical adjustment, or squeeze the rear bag, and it looks like the bottom of the pistol grip hangs far enough down to get in your way for that. I would do a mock up with some sort of rear support and take a look at that situation before I spent much more money. You may want to think about doing some stock modification. If you trimmed the grip off flush with the bag contact line behind it, the rifle might be more user friendly, and give you more rear bag options, and room for your hand if you are going to squeeze the rear bag.
