Rear Bag for Shehane ST-1000 Stock

I am having a 17 pound BAT DS 6BRA rifle built and will be using a Shehane Laminate ST-1000 stock. I don't have access to a stock to measure so can someone please tell me which rear bag works best with this stock? I currently have a Tooley MBR on another BAT but it has a very narrow butt width and I use a rear bag 3/8" spacing between ears. I recall buying 4 to 5 bags to get a good fit on a Scoville stock some years back and would like to not repeat that cycle again. Thanks in advance for your help.

I got the Protektor DR Flattop with 3/4" spacing for the Tracker stock and I think it shoots better off my Edgewood Gator with the 3/8ths spacing for my Leonard stock,,I know it`s not supposed to but if you already have several bags I would try all I had before buying another one,,

Thanks, guys, for your input. Is the butt width the same on the ST-1000 as the Tracker series? I looked for specs on Shehane's site as well as on McMillan's site (for the fiberglass version) but was unable to find the needed info. I did sell off the bags that didn't fit the Scoville 6PPC rifle but I have since sold that rifle as well. I now have a bag with 3/8" spacing for the MBR and a bag with 1/2" (I think) spacing that fits my McMillan A-5s nicely. I shoot them more than the BR rifles that I am having restocked but will need to fit the larger ST-1000 on one (or maybe two) BR rifles. Thanks again, and keep the info coming.

ST1000 and Tracker is the same stock. ST stands for Shehane Tracker. Use a 3/4 inch spacing on the bag. Edgewood or Protector. At least that what works for me. Also, ST1000F is the same, just fiberglass instead of laminate wood.

Once again, thanks so much for the info. I'll order 3/4" spacing and will be covered for everything. Looking forward to trying the 6 BRA. Am new to laminates, except for a nice Leonard that was on a Hall 6PPC that I had built. I sold that one as well because it was a left port and I decided to go with BATs and all R/R. I'm too old to have to worry with different configurations. :)

A friend had Ronnie Long build him a couple of BATs on Tracker stocks and they really look good and shoot well. I've read that it takes a bit of finish work on them but I'm hoping it will be worth it.

Happy shooting to you all!
