Rear bag for Rotex Stocks

Which Protektor rear bag works well with a Rotex Sock? Our Club shoots only allows two piece rests.
Thanks!

Well, in competition, I don't use a Protektor, although I have a couple of their bags. Edgewood Original, 3/8" spacing on Cordura ears is what I use in IR Sporter and 3-Gun. Many of the bags I have or have had I bought used on this forum. That allows real world testing at a lower cost. I went through several bags when I first started shooting sanctioned IR, both Edgewood and Protektor, before finding one I really like. Some I kept for CF, and others that didn't work out got flipped.

You’ll get opinions, I have alyays run stock on bottom, RF, CF. That’s why there’s variable ear spacing. Ran Edgewood’s for years, now a Lenzi for everything……slick ears.
Tim brings up a very good point. I don't run the stock on the top of the bag, but others do. I run the butt stock elevated off the bag top supported by the ears. I don't know what the spilt is between those that do or don't, but I do know everyone I shoot with regularly does not let the bottom of the butt stock contact the top of the bag. This is a topic where shooters need to test. I have tested it enough to sway me towards not letting the bottom of the butt stock ride the top of the bag. Out of the top 10 nationally in IR 3-gun, a two piece sand bag rest class, I know at least seven of them do not let the stock ride the top of the bag.

Lots of ways to skin a cat. Testing your system will tell what is best for you.

I guess I should have stated for IR sporter, because of the stock configuration by rule have to shoot it off the bag, so ultimately shoot both ways.

bag on the left was purchased when i was shooting shehane tracker stocks. 1/2 wide flat bottom stock that i would let ride on the bag with tall ears for better left/right support. bag on the right was purchased when i moved to pippen stocks. a much broader rounded bottom stock that i would let ride on the ears. regardless of maker, one must first figure out if they (or their rifle) are a bag or ear shooter first.

Do Flat Bottom Stocks generally perform better when riding on the Bag, and Benchrest Stocks (Stocks with an angle from the pistol grip area to the butt of the stock) perform better with the stock ridding on the ears?

Would this Randolph rear rest be legal at your club ?
The support V is lined with small sand bags

Our local club rimfire matches require sandbag rests, front and rear. (or alternately, a front bipod, but it is then included in the total weight of the gun and may affect class).
If those are truly 'sandbags' (not just a solid pad), then this rest would be legal for our local matches.
