reamer

what reamer are people using for the 6 Dasher with alpha brass & bullets between 103 & 108 what freebore & neck i'm going with a no turn neck thinking 272 273 or even 274 .

Attached is what I use. It has worked well with Lapua and Alpha brass. Brass life has been good with both. I do turn necks. For a no turn you would need to increase the neck diameter. The free bore is fairly long. I’d drop it to 0.135 if I was ordering a new one. It really depends on what bullets you plan to shoot. This one works well for Barts Gungnirs.

ok thanks.274 isn't a bad idea thanks . I'm also thinking of going 6 bra instead of the dasher. just easier!!
Either is about the same if you use Alpha brass. The BRA is a bit easier is using Lapua. Also, Alpha has reamer specs. I believe their reamer is 274 neck for the BRA and Dasher no turn. I've fireformed Alpha Dasher brass in club matches with good results. I've also used Alpha BRA brass. Not sure why but my BRA has heavy bolt lift the first firing (even with reduced loads). Mine runs fine after that. I don't get the heavy bolt lift on the Dasher on the first firing and I run them at my normal load.

ok thanks good information.

I just ordered a 7.5 twist Barlein LV profile and a Manson 0.272” neck BRA reamer with leade for 105’s … seems like a good idea to me.
