Reamer Print for using

Lapua center X or Midus - any one willing to share?

Also - after chambering how far in will a round go in before it touches the lans?

Thanks Jerry
Use the Nevius reamer design as it was developed for use with Lapua ammunition (Kevin is a sponsored shooter). This chamber does allow for engagement, however I forget the depth.
Regards,
Ken

If you only planning to shoot Lapua I would recommend the JGS Nevius 1.5 reamer. with 0.030 engraving off the ogive, this will have a live round sticking out by 0.075
Though you can use the BR standard of 2-degree with more engraving, I found less the Nevius to less picky on different lots.

Thank You.....

The smith needs to know that the engraving is only 0.030 off the ogive and generally this means a live round will stick out by 0.075 when pushed in till it stops against the leade.
I believe I stated that fact when I replied to Jerry's OP in any case the reamer is based off the Myer's 1.5 without the stop, so you can use a Myers as well. my best shooting rifle's barrel was done in that manner.

I use the JGS match reamer for most of the projects in my shop. I like having a bit more jam than .030 too.

Sir
The .075 that you are talking about is it from the bolt face side of cartridge or from barrel face to underside of cartridge head

Thanks Jim

i use a JGS match a lot of times for Lapua ammo here in my shot. my customers seem to have great success with it.
