I can see one of the first things I am going to mark and make when the laser and 3d printer show up. Very smart idea!

So many times i’ve been mic’ing a pilot, thinking… you know - i’m still not sure i need pilots, and wondering how long it would take to laser them all decently.

I can 3d print about anything. I'm clueless when it comes to using a lathe. I'd swap those skill one for one anyday of the week.

First thing to learn about the lathe is never never never start it up without removing the chuck key. Build on that. LOL.

Never leave chuck key in chuck period...
Unless it's old Southbend belt drive with VFD set for real slow start. Ask me how I know.

Hey Pat. I have mine set to start really slow. I could see it like slow motion. The key just hit the ways then slipped the belt. In my opinion a 10 or 13 are the safest lathe a person could own.
