Many standard reamer prints show a slight taper to the neck, being slightly larger at the neck / shoulder junction, than at the case mouth.
What is the purpose of this?

Yeah it probably ain't that big a deal. I have three 6 BR's now all with slightly different chambers. It is a pain to manage the brass. I was hoping by getting my own reamer and go gauge I could simplify things going forward. My gunsmith has had some serious health challenges and he is probably going to close up shop.If you turn your brass straight, and your dies are straight, who cares if the chamber has .001 taper on the neck? Use your gunsmiths reamer is another option

Are you wondering if that .001 makes a difference or wondering if every reamer has it?Thats what has me wondering about this reamer tapper thing.
