Reamer for 6,5x47

yep dave kiff,PTG) did my reamer 6.5x47 with pilot bushing and go gauge. .293 no turn neck .110 freebore. NICE reamer..

.110 freebore seems pretty short for bullets like a 130 Norma VLD or a 139 Scenar. Are you planning on only shooting bullets in the 120 gr range or less?

i'm shooting 140 sierra's and the boat tail starts at the bottom of the neck just right i think..and 100gr nosler BT is half way down the neck both shot well. fireforming anyway i'm still whait'n on a F/L die.
so i dont know how well this big surgeon is going to group till i get the die. so far 1/2 inch both bullets.

I have a 6.5-284 with 0.188 freebore, and it is on the edge with the 139gr Scenars. Next barrel will have .250. So .110 seems very short to me.

well i have on trouble get'n to the lands thats for sure.and sould be that way for a long time.

jim i think your right...it's got to have more than .110 it looks like .200 to me.....i'll call kiff for a reamer print

nope....it is a .110 frebore .293 neck

Hi all just remember the neck on the 6.5X47 Lapua is much longer than the 6.5-284 so to keep the junction of the boat tail above the doghnot you only require a shorter throat and thiss enables a lot more projectile weights through the same chamber.
