Reamer base dimensions?

Having a reamer made for a version of the .219 Donaldson Wasp. The reamer company’s Wasp drawing shows the base dimension as .421” which seems too large to me. Standard 30-30 brass specs .416” at the base. I’m not the expert so I’m assuming the reamer company knows their business. Is the .005” excessive?

I appreciate all input.

Tom

don't confuse reamer spec with case spec. .421 is chamber .419 is brass so .416 on new brass will be normal it will expand after a few shots. making the chamber any tighter will be asking for trouble down the road

Your going to headspace off the shoulder ( usually ) so you should have aprx .150 of the base unsupported in the bolt nose . What I'm trying to get at is the previous post is correct and it wouldn't matter as your fireform ing to a Ackley ( lack of better word ) and most 30/30 brass is going to fit , some makes smaller at the base than others . I have been using Winchester brass ( new old stock ) which had thicker brass at the base than others , I've read the star line brass in 30-30 is very uniform . I haven't checked the brass thickness .
I run many wildcats on the 30/30 . Good luck

Everything I've said is just approximately , your smith uses the measures from your action / bolt .
