Really slow but stupid accurate / 8208XBR

Playing with my 6BR I tried some slow rounds using 8208XBR and stumbled upon a stupid accurate round going 2555fps. Going to try some more later this week at 300yds and if it holds up that is going to be my new 300 yard load. This is using Norma brass and Fed 205M primers with 25.4gr of XBR shooting 107SMK at .020 off. Shooting 200 yards getting all 5 rounds touching with and ES of 9 and kicks like a 22 long rifle, crazy fun...

You might find that you can't really shoot the difference between the super accurate and consistent load at 2555fps vs a more traditional 2800fps node that beats on the brass and barrel more and perhaps has a peakier narrower tune. In every gun I've ever had, the slow node was the better node to run. Barrel last longer, brass last longer, and POI doesn't move around or fall out of tune as easily. It's just a win all around.

107@2800fps, 300yards, 10mph wind: 4.3 inches
107@2800fps, 300yards, 8mph wind: 3.5 inches

You miss by 0.8" in a BAD wind call.

107@2550fps, 300yards, 10mph wind: 5 inches
107@2550fps, 300yards, 8mph wind: 4 inches

You miss by 1" in a BAD wind call.

This kind of a wind call mistake would knock you out of contention for a podium finish in many competitions to start with, but a 0.2" difference isn't much of a gain if your low node is more accurate and consistent.
