real velocity expectations for 6-6.5x47

I have a new gun nearly finished, Rem. 700 and 25" Shilen barrel chambered in 6-6.5x47 with 1-8 twist. Will it be possible to get 3000fps with 107 MKs? I usually stick with Hodgdon powders.

Shouldn't be a problem. I run 30" barrels (usually Bartlein) and can achieve 3200 with H4350 although I don't often push that hard.

I am using Hybrid 100V in mine with a 105 Hybrids (danzak) and Rem 7 1/2 primers and getting 3130fps. It is a hot load in my gun. My load is 41.5grs. I should drop half a grain, and will after I shoot these up.

You should easily get 3000fps from your gun with 107SMKs.

I agree. 3000fps should be no major problem.

I run 105 Berger Hybrids with H4350 at 3150fps in a 3 groove, 8 twist, 27" Lilja. My load (developed before the book was published) is over the Berger book max, but I suspect their loads are a bit conservative.

Re: real velocity expectations for 6-6.5x47, 3000 easy

With 107 gr Matchkings, I tested up to 3220, shot three matches at 3130,
but had the best agg at 3000. Shooting 38.0 gr of H4350, +/- depending
on lot variations. N160 at 2800 also shot good.

As what was said above, I have no idea were your accuracy node will be but 3K should be no problem reaching. I push the 105 grain A-Max over that from a 24" 8tw 3 groove PacNor.
