Reade Range Questions

I am coming to PA to shoot in the Remington LR Regional at Reade Range this weekend and I have two questions.

First, is the 1000 yard berm close to the parking lot or will I need a cart to get my gear to the line? I am bringing a camper and trying to pack as conservatively as possible, hoping I don't need to find a spot for my cart as well. How far from the parking lot is the 1000 yard berm I guess?

Second, if anyone else on this forum is shooting in this regional and needs another member for an F-open team, I am looking. Anyone need team members to form an F-open team for the Friday team match?

Thanks in advance guys.

PA or bust.

most of the regular parking isnt far from th e1000 yard line, but probably enough you are going to want a cart. I will have my cart there and I got less stuff (sling). and if its at capacity, which is will be, i think there will be a shortage of parking so may end up out on the road, etc. if you camp there, I think its around the 600 yard line.

The parking there isn't all that far from the actual firing line. As mentioned earlier it might be tight but then again if you manage to get there earlier you might have a good selection. I wish I could go there again. Had a blast last year and the range layout is pretty awesome just watch out for the wind coming from the left.

John Sigler may still be looking for another team member ....... His name is DE F Open on here.

Some things have changed at Reade. They extended the roof over the bench rest shooters area out toward the parking lot. This will be used as a staging area. I suggest you bring a cart of some kind, as I am told the only gear "allowed" up to the firing line will be the shooter and the next shooter in line. Sounds like there will be a lot of us camping this year, I was the only one last year. I am also looking for an F/Open team.

P.S. The Marines and National Guard will have trailers which will take up a few parking spaces also. So as said above good parking spaces will be at a premium. On the plus side the club bought an old school bus to transport to and from the pits. Also paid pullers will be at a minimum. I already got mine, paid in advance.

Since the marines and national guard will be there take them a gun or two to get a courtecy check. Some of the most top notch gun plumbers,
PS they are always thirsty

Bridgeville Rifle & Pistol is looking for a 4th shooter for our F-Open Team.

If you are interested please contact me via reply email.

Or, we'll see you at the range.

John

I hate to hijack this thread but I recently moved and now live near Reade. I have never shot competition but might someday. My question is can someone give me directions to the range? I would love to drive up there and give it a look see. Or does the range have a website? Thanks in advance.

In a word...switchy

That's putting it nicely! Sunday morning was awesome! But the afternoon was pretty brutal. Great turn out and some great score were shot even though the winds were running stong in the afternoons. The AMU cleaned house with ARs!

Any one snap a picture of the results page on the last day?

I think I missed the top score but here is most of it. I'm sure someone may have taken a better pic.
