READE LR REGIONAL

Hi All,

The match was great! Based on weather forecasts, a decision was made to shoot 4 x 1000 on Saturday and skip shooting on Sunday. The team matches were shot on Friday, with maybe ten teams. They were a few folks short of 80 shooters for Saturday (maybe 78?). All matches were shot on the Hexta electronic targets, and while there were a couple of issues, they seemed to mostly be operator error. The targets worked great and people seemed to like them a lot. I don't have any scores, but Nate Guernsey won the overall.

Tom Ferraro and his crew ran a really great match that was a lot of fun -I will definitely be going back again.

A HUGE thank you to Tom and his crew, and especially Tammy for all their work!

I want to thank the crews at Reade Range, Bridgeville Rifle Club, and Bar 3 for their confidence in HEXTA Match-Grade targets. You're all a pleasure to work with.

All ranges are set up. We
made, and are making copious changes to fit the USA Courses of fire.

The following link is the match results. When the ranges become internet connected this results page is populated in Real-Time.

Ken ties National record and sets NEW Senior record !! 200-17X's F-Open

Not trying to stir the pot just curious as I have never shot ET's,,,, but doesn't there have to be a delay factored in for it to be a NR per NRA rules?

Maybe a new hybrid discipline is born with E-Targets and no delay - "Berm Rest" Open

To answer the question presented:

YES it should be recognized as a national record!

Without getting into the players and politics of it all, the 7 second delay may be made available as an option to the competitor. In other words, the delay that we have been asking for was not inserted into the rules as a requirement.

I am a bit concerned that the implementation of E-targets will lead us down the path of load one side, eject the other. I don't think Ken was shooting that way with his shot timing, although it would not change my position on the record.

Congrats again to Ken. I think we will soon have one of the most co- held records ever.
