Can anyone tell me where in the burn chart that Re33 falls. Was using Retumbo but couldn't get any so trying the re33 now. Any info is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for the help.

It is not where it falls on the burn chart that matters. It is made with a different burn and doesn't spike like other powders. That is how you get more velocity with it. It is like RE17 and RE50. It is slower then Retumbo and should give you about 100 to 150 feet more. I also believe it likes the bullet in the rifling or very close to be the most accurate. I believe this raises the pressure and makes it burn better. I also believe it is better with a 300 then a 250 grain. It shoots really good in my Lapua IMP. and gives me 3100 with a 300 Berger. It shoots 5 shot groups in the 4 to 5 inch range at 1000. Matt

My load in a 338Lapua w/300gr smk's, 90gr Retumbo,oacl of 3.600. Have to go with this oal to feed through magazine. Going down a 27 1/2" tube. Was getting 2730fps. Heard good things about the re33 so I thought I would give it a try. In your opinion,will the slower powder still provide a higher mv? Not totally concerned about more mv,just that it is accurate. The rifle is primarily used for long range elk hunting. Thank you in advance for your input.
