Re-Engineering a AICS 223 Magazine

I have a 10rd 223 AICS magazine ordered and am going to re-engineer it to 3 or 5 rd. I ordered the plastic one and think I can cut it with a Dremel and am going to try to use a JB Weld product to put it back together. Maybe even pop rivets. Anybody already done this?

The 10rd magazine hits my front rest and adds another variable when developing loads. I have a "Bob Sled", but not thrilled with it. Won't feed unless you fool with it.

Normally, I'd say go for it but there are 5 rounders out there. If you do decide to do, cut the mag body and leave tabs for the floor plate. Then anneal the tabs and bend them over. A wet rag wrapped on the rest of the mag will protect the heat treat.
But, 5 rd mags exist. I'd like to see magpul make one of their aics mags in a 5rd.

Sell the 10 rounder you have and buy a 5 rounder. I have two of the Accurate Mags and they work great.
