Having thought about the project a bit more, the only remaining issue, that I see currently, is the fact that the current barrel seems only capable of marginal accuracy. It seems unlikely that this will improve significantly with a new chamber. Might decline. That being the case, a new barrel seems to make the most sense. And if a new barrel is on the menu, then maybe a new cartridge too. I've done a fair amount of reading lately on the 22 BR....
I'll just throw that out there to mercy of the internet court. Maybe do a mono bloc from the existing barrel.
