Re Brunos Communication

Forum Boss

Administrator
We are doing everything within our power to communicate with Brunos Shooters Supply. We understand that Forum members have concerns about orders-in-progress. We are attempting to contact Brunos through all means at our disposal, including sending someone from Phoenix over to the shop.

At this time, let us try to establish contact. Please don't post angry thread after angry thread describing your frustrations... that really won't help in this situation. Trust us, we understand members' concerns and we will do our best to communicate those concerns to Bruno's owners.

Please give us some time to make the outreach... Hopefully there will be an improvement of the situation soon.

Paul,
Thank you for all your help and understanding on this subject. I apologize to you for my behaviour earlier and have removed all posts and the thread I started, I know you locked it but I went one step further and removed it! Thanks again.

I ordered some Eley 22 ammo online from them last week. It shipped the next day and has arrived.
Well that is a good sign, I am very happy for you :)

They are not answering the phone. They said there was a choice of picking two, phone, internet or walk in.
I picked up a scope there yesterday.

Maybe they had to cancel some orders due to overload as other companys have had to do it too on certain things.I would reorder if you can fax or email an order.

Living in the Phoenix area , I just want to say that I've been dealing with Brunos for many years since about 1989 give or take a few years . It's a family run business and Lester Bruno and his family really work their butts off , sometimes into the wee hours of the morning . They are fine people and I'm sure they are doing their best to take care of their customers in every way . I know that in a period of several hours their inventory on some products is completely depleted . That means working all night to fill orders , and during the day I'm sure it's a full day's job just to answer the phones and e-mails . I had a life long experience in sales and I know what it's like to be completely blessed by a windfall of business . Not trying to make excuses for them but been there done that ! Patience is a virtue in these times !

Anxious to hear what is going on. Unsure whether to cancel my order that has seemingly vanished, wait for something to happen, or understand what may be tripping things up.

Oops, just saw the other post on the "facts" with Bruno. I'll just wait, now understanding the gravity of the situation there.

Phil

I have received an recent order I placed from Brunos.
Placed an order on 4/15.
Credit card charged on 4/26.
Received shipment notification 5/3.
Received material 5/6 today.

It's the times people. Lester is a legend in the shooting world. He is not out to screw people over. Give the man a break. Best I can say is if you cannot place your hands on it prior to purchasing, look somewhere else. That goes for any company in this business at these dire times. I would hate to be a small business owner in the shooting business during these times. The boom in business is not worth all the crap, angry customers, he is probably dealing with during this time. Walk a mile in his shoes and think about it.

Why are you doing this for Brunos and not other venders?

Because many, many Forum members asked us "What's going on with Brunos?" So we tried to get a sit-rep for everybody. Also, multiple threads were started, all asking about the status of back-orders and communications with Brunos.

Well there a number of people like me that were getting impatient with Bruno's so forum boss helped us out, went way above and beyond as far as I was concerned. The same day Forum Boss talked to Lester I also talked to him a few minutes later and man was I surprised at what he said, the other Vender's are not even close to selling the Volume that Lester is, but I am sure if we were having problems with PV then Paul would have done all he could to help there also. incidental I emailed Lester just a few days ago on a Hawkeye bore scope, Amy replied in less then 24 hours with a answer it was back ordered but I could place a back order if I wanted, FedEx called today and said I had a package and it has to be the borescope so from time of order to delivery maybe a week, unfortunately I was not home and it needs signed for,...Again many Thanks Paul and you too Bruno's I know Amy has followed some of these threads,..so kudos to Bruno's for filling orders as fast as they can.

Screen grab from PV's web page:

Orders placed today for in stock items will ship approximately June 5.
We are currently processing orders with powder placed on April 1 and orders that do not contain powder from April 5

Love P.V. but they're not dealing with this very well. Being that far behind for several months on end?

I am not going to start a fight on forum bosses thread but what do you want them to do? pull supplies from a magical hat? PEOPLE, these supply houses do not have your stuff, have you been to the local hardware stores gun department? there shelves are bare also, bullet manufacturer's, powder manufacturers, primer, and ammunition manufacturer's are working around the clock and can't fill the back orders no less the new ones coming in! I work for probably the largest Ammunition's plant in the world and were 3.5 years behind on centerfire orders, the same on primers and rimfire and that was a month ago who knows what it is now? so these supply houses can't sell you what they do not have! 3 weeks ago Bruno's was 3800 emails behind, Lester told me he wanted to see how many orders he could complete in one hour, from start to finish that would be reading your email request to having the items sitting on the dock with the delivery truck on it's way was 7 orders in one hour, now take 3800 and divide that by 7 and see what you get? Now I get no special treatment from the Bruno's and Amy got back to me in less then 24 hours of my email and the order was made and I believe it is here at my local FedEx right now so things may be getting a little better but it's still a long way from back to normal on most things in the gun world and with each new shooting, bombing and other acts of ridiculousness will just make it that much more behind in the gun business or when people finally run out of money for all the panic buying. I was frustrated here not long ago also and was probably one of the leading causes for Forum Boss stepping in and giving us a hand with Bruno's but at least we all know what the problem was and still is and it goes for PV and all other supply houses too, best of luck to you all, hope your all able to continue competing and hunting and hope all this blows over one day so we can get back to normal but it won't be tomorrow ;)
Wayne.

Bozo699 I commend you for the post. Your post is right on the money. I was in Bruno's early Monday morning. The empty slots on the shelves attest to the supply problem. The employees are very, very busy but also very courteous and accommodating which is a real testament to the staff with the pressure they are under. I don't know if I could maintain any sense of decorum under similar circumstances. Was I able to buy everything I wanted...NO but so what? These folks have served our hobby very well overt the years. Give them a break!
Just my 2 cents.

I placed a primer order with Bruno less than a week ago and I just got notification from UPS, with a tracking number, that it will be here Monday. 8)

I disagree with Killshot whole heartly. The last thing I want is someone taking my order, and NOT telling me that it will be month. I placed a brass order 3 days ago with PV. I know now to expect it in a month. My last brass order was placed in Jan and I got it in Feb just as they said I would. I placed this order at the beginning of May, should be here begining of June. My hat goes off to PV for the excellent communication.
