RE-17 Data for .260

Gentlemen,

I have located 5 lbs of RE-17 for my testing purposes. I am mostly interested in shooting it in my .260 Remington using 125-130gr bullets. I checked Alliant's website and they have data for 120's and 140's but not 130's. I was wondering what loads you all had tried and how they turned out?

I have been shooting 44.5gr of IMR-4350 with the Nosler 125gr Partition with no issues of pressure, etc out of my Remington M7 and i've been getting 2852 fps.

I am using Remington Brass.

thanks,
Ruck

I worked up a load for Berger 140's this spring and found that it is the head and shoulders above the four most popular powders for that bullet. It performed very well in the 2 matches that I used it in.

I predict that from what I've seen so far, that with lighter bullets, velocity will be quite extreme!

That's most interesting!! I tried it in my 6.5 creedmoor with 123gr bullets and it was a flop!!! Accuracy wasnt good at all. It didnt take me very long to realise this powder just wasnt going to work in my rifle. I also tried it in my 243AI with the same results. H414 is a much better powder for me and my rifles. Good luck though, i hope it works out for you!! Lee
