RCBS working

PAYING IT FORWARD EXPECTING NOTHING IN RETURN
Silver $$ Contributor
I found this unit on offer up last summer for $125, worked perfectly. The person said he bought it and barely used it, as it was sitting collecting dust for years he decided someone else might have a better use for it.
So I brought it home and after some research RCBS said the THREE WAY CUTTER, AND NECK CASE TRIMMER TO MAKE THE NECK CONCENTRIC WOULD NOT WORK.
Well I finally found the three way trimmer here on the forums, and now completed my test of modifying the unit.
I first released the spring tension intended to help a person use it with less effect.
The handle was missing the red cover to give a person something to grip on to with a piece of hose
then I added a simple zip tie to the arm that actuated the start switch
I found that the main drive and holder were not exactly aligned, so with a dremel tool I fixed that.
Lastly I bought a variable footswitch to do the work
Now after all my testing, and a little tweaking it works like a charm now. SO MUCH FOR WHAT THEY SAY CAN'T BE DONE. LOL

Good job. Necessity is the mother of invention. Just because someone said it won't work that way, doesn't mean it can't be modified to work :)
Well said. Like today I was told again something I want to do can't be done. People don't know me very well. When I was young I wanted a corvette. I was told you'll never get one, and if you do you couldn't afford it. Since then I've owned three. The first was a 74 T top, next was a 85 T top, Then lastly was a 1990 ZR1. I hate being told it can't be done, it only pushes me harder to prove them wrong.

"Impossible" is just a challenge!
Impossible is a word for those who have tunnel vision IMO. I do love a challenge, and a few of the ones I'm working on I look forward to becoming reality. I don't care how long it takes, I only care to prove people wrong. Yes to do the impossible is what I live for.
