RCBS Matchmaster dies for Dasher?

Any advice (other than use an SAC die). Planning on building a Dasher during our "off-season" and keeping the budget, well, low. I already have a Barnard action/stock/scope/rings etc, ordered a barrel and Alpha brass. So thinking about RCBS Matchmaster die set for starters.

I use the Redding competition die set for my PPCs now and runout is .0005 or less. I was using Wilson and getting runout .001-.0015. Never used the Matchmaster dies

I have no experience with Matchmaster resizing dies, but the seating dies are unusable for many bullets. The seating stems are designed for short ogives and will not seat VLDs without significantly distorting the bullet.
They do not sell a VLD stem. Mfg will modify your seating stem for each specific bullet, at significant cost added to an already expensive die. I find this absurd.

Many better options available.

I have a SAC BRA die and love it.
I also have two Micron resizing dies, one PPC and one BRA, both are great.
I have lots of dasher dies, My Neil Jones and my Forster get the most use.
The Forster does not take a bushing and makes darn straight cases. They will custom hone the neck diameter to whatever you want for something like $20.00 American. For the price you can have 2 or three of these in various neck diameters for the price of one of the "cool kid" dies.
Neil Jones dies are awesome but like most custom stuff, you will wait a fare bit.
I recently ordered a custom set of dies from Hornady. These were for a 6mm TallDog improved. This is a cartridge from yesteryear that I ordered a reamer for with 40* shoulders. I initially called Forster and asked if they would cut the base off a 6 BRA die for me (TallDog is a short 6 BR for SR benchrest), they agreed to do so for a small fee and delivered the die quickly. All star outfit for sure. The Forster die squeezed the shoulders in a touch further than I wanted so I started looking for a custom that squeezed the shoulders a bit less. However it is worth noting that the Forster did what it was supposed to and help me prove I was on the right track. So after reading a bit and visiting with some other wildcaters, I called Hornady and visited with them on a totally custom die set. They were happy to help and after I sent in some brass and a copy of my reamer print, they produced a rather fantastic custom die (bushing) die set for a very reasonable price.
If I were in your shoes, Forster would be a great place to start.

Hope this helps

i used the matchmaster for a 6gt with berger 108bt. had to take a dremel and some polishing compound to it. but it worked out fine

Is anyone using the Vickerman seating dies for this cartridge? I get very good results for concentricity and the die is easily adjusted.
