RCBS 3way cutter head

Has anybody used one of these? I'm thinking about getting one but don't know anybody that has used one. Do they work as advertised? This is for benchrest ammo and I hate chamfer and deburring.

I have used on for several years and like it. Once you set up the inner and outer cutters it works great and does all chamfering and length cutting in one step.

I have a couple, I mainly use them for high volume .223 and .308. They do work and make the job shorter. A little messing around with the initial adjustments but it's pretty much good to go after that. On my "good" ammo, I use a VLD ID tool after. The ID cutter is OK but not a VLD design. If you like it and intend to use it a lot, I sent mine out & had them Tinc coated.

Plus 1 The VLD tool is a must no matter what cutter you use Larry

The 3-Way cutter is a "good" tool. If you want to make it "great", replace the cutter itself with the optional Carbide cutter. Faster cuts with less effort. My .308 brass trims with 2-3 turns of the crank, total.

What makes this tool great is that all you need to change for different calibers is the pilot and both de-burr and chamfer are fully adjustable (for depth, not angle).
