Woof!!

I had access to one of these for several years. All of the listed inserts here. This will show you just how good a shot you are (or aren't) and how accurate your ammunition is (or isn't).

Bump for a great addition to any pistolero's shop.

We Ransomed our BE guns religiously and it was an eye opener. Also a learning curve to consistent operation of the rest.
It was interesting in that standing behind the rest, shooting cast reloads at normal BE velocities, it was apparent when one was going to be out of the group....at 50 yds which was THE accepted distance for accuracy determination.
Edit: This was pretty much Irons only.

Great tool for load development and to sight in red dots, iron sights, etc
Great deal here.

I really don't remember this being an aid for sighting in. The difference in grip pressure and recoil . . . I could be wrong as it was 45 yrs ago.
We used larger cardboard, got "on" it, then stapled a tgt over the impact area....again, at 50 yds.

I’ve used it to sight in my pistols for years. After using my ransom rest for load development. I then use it to set my red dots etc… Works absolutely perfect. You end up with a mechanically accurate load that goes exactly where you put the dot. My pistol range is 25 yards. Thats what distance all my testing is done as well.

Great tool for load development and to sight in red dots, iron sights, etc… Those inserts are $100 a pc
Great deal here.
Stavey... thx for comments... we used the Ransom for both load dev and rough-in sighting then fine-tuned sight-in in-hand... saves time and ammo.... if you shop around, you can ge the insets for $55-$60... but it still adds up !

A set of insert is maybe $65. But once you add Ransom internationals shipping and tax they’re rite at $100. Here a receipt pic from a set I just recently bought.
