Hi All,
Choices have to be made for the type of reticle wanted for those of us who have orders placed for the new March zoom scope.
As the scope is a 2nd FP then the 1/16 dot and 1/8 dot will only be this size at a given magnification. The literature does not say what the equivalent "R" setting is as per a NF Scope.
Feedback from Kelby's on the three prototypes is that a 1/16 dot? at full power was covering about half the distance between the rings at 1000 yards, Don Neilson I think has said this? ).
If this was an F Class target this would be approx .25 MOA at 60X....?
My best guess is that if the factory do not alter the laser etching programme for the reticles used in the prior fixed 40X scope then the "R" setting will be at 40X..?
I know Lou and others who have got one of the prototypes check in here so I thought I would ask for some help.
I was intending to go for a 1/16 dot which should have 1/12 dot at 60X if 40X is the "R" setting and should therefore cover no more than 1/4 of the .5 MOA X ring for you guys and V bull for us. However if the dot is bigger than this in "real life" then for precision in aim off technique I would like to know.....at present I have changed my order to a fine cross hair just to make sure I have no problems shrouding the small spotting disks but some real time comments would be most welcome....
