Range reloading

Guys what do you use to transport your reloading equipment to the range when you are working up loads. I had been using the MTM shooters boxes BUT I am looking at new Ideas.

I use a Reloader Special Press, Culver Measure, Lee Auto Prime, etc.

And cleaning supplies. I know most BR shooters use some type of tool box .

Thnx,
Jim

Jim,
I use a couple of softsided bags but that is about to come to an end. I'm always leaving something at the house so I'm looking at Kennedy Tool Boxes......sit it on my reloading bench in the garage, pick it up and take it to the range.

German has a nice article on this subject here: http://riflemansjournal.blogspot.com/2009/12/reloading-range-reloading.html and pinpointing the classic Kennedy machinist's toolbox as a range reloading favorite.

I've seen similar toolboxes at short range Benchrest matches.

I built this and have all the other "stuff" in a 26" Rubbermaid tool box. I put some handles on it since this picture was taken.

I pack all of my reloading kit in one of these,

Harrell combo press, and powder measure, Sinclair priming tool. I even find room for a gunsmith screwdriver set, a few other small tools, powder, bullets, primers, and primers, everything I need to load. Packing gets a little challenging. Small pieces are in boxes. I can pick it up with one hand.

Hippy -
Howdy !

You may want to consider/try use of a " hand press" while reloading @ the range...
Such as the " LEE Hand Press ".

THese accept conventional threaded dies, are comparatively low-cost, are of robust construction; and do the job just fine.

For a range box, something like those molded products Plano makes, that you see at the local hardware store ( tackle, toll box et al ).

Plano makes the excellent " Air Glide " rifle case, which itself has spaces inside either side of the rifle's buttstock... that can accept and hold dedicated Plano
small items ( partitioned ) bins.

The reloading items box itself, wouldn't necessarily have to have wheels.
For hauling items ( initially ) to the shooting line area, you'd probably want a wheeled cart. Mine is a Stanley, which has a removable upper box, a flip-out section; and places to snap-in/out small items bins.

+1 on the Kennedy. I use the Midway Range Box to carry all and sundry cleaning supplies when I plan to clean at the range. The Otis cleaning kit with a bore snake covers most light cleaning needs, but I usually have a cleaning rod in the car as well.
