Should take a look at the G7 BR2. The Trupulse looks just like a G7 but don't have the ballistic calculator in it. For long range hunting G7 tough to beat. Few less $$$ too.

I can only speak to the quality of a Vectronix LRF I used about 4 years ago and it was fantastic in use. We tested the Vectronix on a surveyed range to to test it and it was dead nuts on. Not what you were looking for when asked for a comparison but no one else seemed to chime in with a comparison so I put this in, hope it was not a complete waste of time for you.

I have used both and own a Vectronics, and the Vectronics are hands down a better range finder. with that being said they do not have the balistic program in them, but anymore most of us has one in our phone or a PDA. in brite light on a clear day i have ranged easyly out to and over 2500 yards every time you push the button. Personaly i would not waste the money on anything else.

I have both a G7 and a PLRF 10. The PLRF 10 is a better rangefinder . That being said, my G7 goes with me every time I go hunting. The speed of aquiring ballistic solutions is a big advantage. Also you only have to carry one piece of equipment instead of three.(rangefinder, kestral and cellphone or ballistic calculator.)The G7 will supply solutions out to 1400 yds. which will cover most hunting needs.
