Range Day 45-70 and .500 S&W Carbine

I recently installed a Skinner Peep to replace the original buck horn sight. Also, changed the aperture to the Skinner sight on the .500 Carbine. Targets out at 100 yards. the 46/70 bull is 6 inches across and the bull for the .500 is 7x9 inches. Using 375 gr HCNGC in the 45/70 and 400 grain barns FN in the .500 carbine.

Back to basics. I make every effort to shoot one of my lever guns every chance. Most days at the range involve mowing, trimming targets or trees. I take time to cycle a round or three. No spotting scope, no radar. Just grab my 94AE 45 Colt (Williams peep sight ) from the truck and take 5. Then back to work.
