Ran into a jam

So I took my new 20 Practical savage build out for some load testing & when I did some measuring my AR15 ammo jams into my Savage lands by .020 I am going to build separate ammo but in a pinch I would l like to use the AR ammo in my bolt gun. So will I be ok? It shoots ok not great .50 and everything looks OK it doesn't pull the bullet but I am prepared that it may.

I was surprised to see this I figured my bolt Gun would have a longer seat out than this has anyone else have this happen?

As long as the case OAL isn't too long and getting crimped at the end of the chamber. Might consider powder charge compared to the Ar load. All my load are built at a .010 jam into the lands. And all my chambers are cut with ZERO free bore so I CAN jam just about anything. If your load is too hot, you might end up beating the bolt open. :eek:Check real good before you pull the trigger. ;)

AR handloads don't usually generate 60,000 psi, so i think you'll be ok to give one of them a shot in your bolt gun and find out for real.
