Rail and scope rings matching?

Hello everyone:
I have a,Millet) Picatinny Rail and a set of,Burris) Scope Rings I just purchsed from Midway USA. Well the rings slide back and forth in the rail slot.Screw in 0.15 and the slot is .25. I'm taking it that I need to change out the rail? Thanks

i generally like to buy a little better quality but if it is actually a Picatinny Rail you should be absolutly fine because every other rail should have identical spacing

It will work fine. When you are installing the rings and scope, just pull the back ring as far back against the back of the slot, and push the front ring as forward against the front of the slot while tightening.
