Radical 540 deg. Vortex Barrel Fluting

Something a little different for one of our members. First time doing 8 flutes in this radical style. Should turn a few heads at the range.

Neat. I'd call that the "wrought iron" look. Can you do one for me that looks like a piece of rebar? Couple of ragged hole groups and I could come up with a convincing spiel on why you don't have to buy a custom barrel. That would make their heads turn AND spin.

Paul, right or left hand twist option? Maybe a twist opposite of the rifling twist will counteract torque?​

Dan, just a guesstimate, but I would say around 6 oz. at the most. More for looks than weight savings.

Probably about a Bartlein 3B would be the smallest in diameter.

You do great work Paul, I had Alex send you a Tikka bolt to be fluted for a build he is doing for me. Is a bolt to short to do if you wanted to match the barrel?

I can easily match the style, but the twist will need to be adjusted accordingly. Do you need a pic of the Vortex fluting on a Tikka bolt? Happy to post one if you need it.

Why not just take a regular fluted BBL and heat it up really , really hot with a torch and give R a twist!!!
