R26 with 6.5 creedmore

What loads are you using in the 6.5C with 140-147 gr bullets?

I use 48.0 gr with the 143gr ELD-x and 49.0gr with the 140 gr Eld-M. 22 inch barrel Ruger American predator cheapie rifle.

Both run about 2800 fps. Pressure is around 58K PSI, not pushing them hard at all.

46 grains under the 147 gets 2747 from my 24-inch barrel. I could push it a bit more. Great stuff.

Last one I worked up had a 26" Bartlien barrel. 48 grains had the 140 ELD-M at 2940fps over the Magneto with no signs of pressure. Norma brass and CCI #200s

Any of you try mag primers? I Have read they reduce sd.

I had single digit SD as it was, I didn't feel like it needed any improvement. It shot great and was very consistent.

I came up with accuracy load of 47 gr. Rl 26 topped with 143 eldx. Ci200 primers, coal 2.8320 max length for detachable magazine. Havent chronographed yet, but 5 shots in a dime size group.
I also tried WLRP's and cci250 mag primers the same session.
Groups opened up to about 1.5 inches.
Ruger American predator.

I tried both regular and mag primers in my .260 and saw very little difference. I got a low sd with virtually any loads that I have tried in the .260 and cm. 47 grains of 26 under a 140 Interlock, got me 2889 fps and super accuracy with regular primers.

What length barrels you guys running?

I just received my 6.5CM 26" barrel and hope to have my receiver next week, so I've finally drank the Creedmoor coolaid. I've resisted as long as I can stand it!

For sure interested in this powder. From my reading the go to for the CM is H4350...which I've been saving just incase a CM came into my life...but it's too hard to find.

R26 I hope is an equal replacement for H4350.

R26 seems to give equal velocity at lower pressures in my 260. You can load to a higher velocity with R26 before you get case head expansion where compared to H4350.

You should get great velocity with re26 in a 26-inch barrel.
