Just saw the announcement that Jim Scoutten has passed away.

Dang! I always liked him, unique voice, supporter of the second amendment, seemed like a genuinely nice guy. RIP Jim

He was an awesome person in in person.. had the pleasure of meeting and shooting with him many years ago..

I was shocked to see the announcement earlier this evening. Jim has been a fixture in the firearms industry for many many years. He will be missed. I had the pleasure of being around the crew from Shooting USA a couple of times and they are always professional. Not just there to do a job. They were all sincerely working to put our shooting sports in the best light. RIP Jim.

R.I.P. Jim, I enjoyed watching and listening to him on the show. Always clear and informative. He will be missed by many. Prayers go out to the family.

I met him at the SHOT SHOW a couple of years ago. He was hurrying through the crowd with his crew close behind. As he passed by, I just said hello. He stopped and looked at me and told his crew to go on. He spoke to me a few minutes and then continued on. I could tell he was really busy, but he still had the time to talk a few minutes.
