I just bought the 3.9 update for quickload. I installed the update and it say install complete. But when I pull up quickload it still say version 3.5* is that normal? I am using Windows 10
I don't mind the $15 update and gladly pay it assuming it contains additional powders and bullets. However Neco's update distribution system is horrible and paying almost that much again for postage is absurd. Almost as dumb as their website.
Agreed. And it would also be nice if the web site would give some clue as to what's in the update.. . .

It would be very convenient to download the updates directly from the website, pay with a credit card and skip the ridiculous shipping charge.
There are several ways to do it without a DVD . . . especially if you just distribute updates via download. HoweverAnd what would you do if you had a catastrophic meltdown and lost QuickLoad and QuickTarget. Would you pay again to restore those programs. Neither portion takes well to being copied and transferred. . . .
I just got 3.9 in hopes that a Hornady 7mm 162 gr. bullet was added. This projectile has been out over two years and nothing yet.

Mr. Broemel has taken great pains to eliminate the copying of these programs in order to prevent 'illicit' copied being distributed over the internet or even just to friends. He has gone so far as to threaten legal action against major websites for publishing data derived from his programming. With the first versions we were required to return the original disk to Neco so they could verify the destruction of that disk.
You forgot to welcome Ben to the forum.BenMc,
I was a professional programmer before you were in High School, maybe before you were born. I'll tell you the same thing I have been telling other programmers since I was 16 years old programming a Vic 20 and TI 99.
If you think another programmer should "do" something, shut up.
Fact is you did not make this program, you have no say. You are being an example of a bad, spoiled and opinionated millennial".

Welcome to AccurateShooter BenMc.Wow, struck a nerve did I? I'm just suggesting what could have been done in the past to make life easier (for the programmer AND the customers) in the present. It is a great program and I appreciate all the work he put into it, it's just too bad about the distribution method. Sorry I offended you with my statement - and btw I'm not a lazy POS, offended-by-everything millenial, 81 falls under X.
Thanks for the welcome 1shot and Terry!
