Quickload load weights vs. Reloading manual data

Hi There,

putting Vihtavuori Reloading Guide max. weight datas into Quickload results very often in pressure values going through yellow and purple pressure diagram zones waaay into the red zone. Tried (min-max average) VV load for a .300 RUM, case bottom lettering imprinted into bolt face. Is Vihtavuori too reckless, or is Quickload too cautios?

When using Quickload pressure diagram, which color zone is still safe for the gun, meaning reasonable barell wear? Manufacturers doesn't seem to stop at "yellow" pressure zone...

With regard to the VVN reloading "guide"...are you using the same components that the "guide" is using, such as primer, powder. bullet, brass, seating depth...? Are you starting at the max end of the "guides" recommendation? These are also things that must be taken into consideration, if...you want to produce safe loads.

I don't think the name "guide" or "manual" is what matters. No datas about what you said. Not sure if "manuals" have them tough... And never said I ever start with maximum in practice. I was just comparing Quickload to manufacturers data.
