Quickload Install Help

AMG04

Gold $$ Contributor
I've had Quickload on my dinosaur of a PC for years now, but recently bought a new laptop. It does not have an internal disc drive so I'm struggling to figure out how to install quickload.

I tried copying the Quickload files to Google Drive and opening them on the new PC but it does not look like the install file is included.

Any thoughts from those who know their way around a cpu better than I do. I'm lost.

Thanks

Yup. This is the way to go.

I've been using one like this for many years for use on laptops that no longer provide CD/DVD drives. Even today, one needs to be aware that some laptops don't provide this standard USB port and will require and adapter.

Past technology get antiquated pretty fast these days.

Yes - sometimes it seems like things are out of date by the time you get them home LOL.

Thanks for the help. That's the quick and easy solution I was hoping for. Time to get back to reloading and shooting!

I just got my copy today and discovered I couldn't get around the CD requirement. Apparently they don't have/use USB flash drives in Germany. o_O

Oh well, bought one recommended above.

The link provided 3 posts above by newbieshooter is not for a flash drive, it's for an external optical CD/DVD drive. It uses a USB port to hook into the computer and for power, but will accept CDs/DVDs.

Does your Old PC still have a CD-ROM drive? If so, you can try to create an .ISO image of the Quickload installation CD on it. Then you can copy the .ISO image to your laptop and "mount" it as a virtual CD (right-clicking on the ISO image usually gives you that option).

The author of the software isn't allowed by United States Trade Law to export the program on any medium other than a disk, so don't cus the guy, cus our government for not allowing flash drives to be imported.
