quick load help

If anyone out there has this program, I could use the help. I'm wondering what a certain powder would do in my cartridge and there is no info available. The round is a 6.5 benchrest, 1X8.5 twist, Sierra 123br. HPBT and am interested to know what 36 grs. of reloader 17 will do...compressed load. Barrel length is 27 inches. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

by the way, my primers are CI 450 and I have used reloader 15 with this round also...I was just wondering if 17 could get me a little more speed and be a little gentler on the case and primer. It's tough to work up loads on a new cartridge with very little access to powder.

Cartridge case capacity in grains of water in a fired case is one of the major parameters - that would be the difference in grains between a empty fired case (with a primer) and the same case filled to the top of the neck. I'd repeat it at least 3 times so you're within 0.1 grain.

You are just going to have to play with it until you can come up with smaller questions. If you are like me you have not printed out the book yet (120 pages) and read it all. That would probably be all the help you need. Open up the different windows, fill in the blanks and don't forget to punch the apply button (all mistakes I've made, but no harm). I heed all (?) their warnings about over pressure loads.
I used it to search for a powder to replace Varget in the 6BRX. My H2O was not the same as the Clymer reamer as I used a PT&G. Not a lot of difference But........
You can also check out ammoguide dot com. Sorry no 123s and no RL17 in the 120s either.
