Quick Load Help 185 Berger 185 Hunting VLD

Could one of you gents with the Quick Load program run a few numbers for me? I have ordered a box of the Berger 185grn Hunting VLDs and I am thinking of trying H1000 and H4831sc. Could you tell me the high node and velocity of both powders, that way I would have an idea of what to work up to. Here are my rifle specs:

Rem 700 LA
300 Winchester Magnum
25" 1-11 twist barrel
Saami spec chamber

Hi Matt,,,,try 77.8 (max !!!) of H-4831-sc,,,,with a 185 bullet,,,,I dont load H-1000 so cant help there,,,Roger

Buy the berger reloading manual as it is a treasure torve of imformation.Not being a wise guy but it is the best 30.00 I ever spent.

There is literally no way to extract the information you want from QL. Even if I had all of the variables immediately available, barrel to barrel variation makes the results nothing more than a guess- sometimes good, sometimes not.

For a hunting rifle, I would do this - grab the starting load from your loading manual and work up to max. From there, work down till you get adequate accuracy for your needs.
