Do any of you guys that have this scope use it in groundhog matches and are you able to see say 243 bullet holes at 500yds? I live in centre co. Pa does anybody have one of these that I could come look at and compare my nightforce to? Thanks Jesse

i have 2 of them,my buddy has a nightforce and we compared them side by side at least 30 times, also all are other friends compared them also, my bud wish he would of waited to get the S3,we come to the conclusion many, many times that my glass in my S3's are noticeably better. the nightforce has some edge to edge distortion is present. if your not rolling in the sand, mud and smacking things then the S3 is very hard to beat.for the money there is not a better piece of glass out there and many, many people would agree. if your not in the military and mud, like i said there is no reason to spend $7 to $9 hundred dollars more cause your not getting more scope for the money unless in the military.

Preacher,
Can you expand on that because there are days that we can't see bullet holes at 500 with our 12-42 NF.
Is it the power or the quality of glass.

I like my S3 but at 32X it's hard to see holes a long ways off, even my 12x42's have a hard time depending on conditions.. Other than that I can't fault the S-3 one little bit.
