Questions on Rear bags

I'm fairly new to this site I have a question or questions about rear bags . I've heard some like their guns to ride on the ears some like the stock to bottom out on the bag .Is there any + or - from either way besides personal preference? Personally i was wondering if you would have less vertical if stock rested on bag ?

Thanks,

Tom

Folks argue it both ways.

Which is probably why there are so many to choose from. ;)
Mine don't got no ears, no sand. Just a squishy bag of beads to squeeze.

The game that interest me is 600 Long range BR . The style stock I would be useing is a Adamovich style . This is the same style as the MCMillian Edge or Leonard stock flat bottom .

Thanks,

Tom

The "Adamovich style" is a great stock, but not at all like the McMillan Edge. The Borden/Speedy/Kelbly Club are all versions of the Adamovich.

Indecently, not sure that this is the stock design I would choose for 600yd BR. I would want a longer forend to help the stock balance and ride better with the longer, heavier barrel than for short range BR rules that the Adamovich was designed for). And the LR rules do not require the stock butt angle, so you may want to go with a flat section on the bottom of the butt. Not saying a Adamovich style stock cant work for LR BR - it can. But is it best? Not really.
