Questions about specs when ordering a Krieger

Looking at a Krieger LR308 DPMS gas gun barrel, I see they list breech diameter and length as well as neck diameter and length. I am not sure what I would want regarding those options, could anyone enlighten me? I guess longer and wider allows more tolerance for dirty operation, tighter is more match oriented?

Specifically looking at the 20" .308 M110 profile barrels with the .875 rifle length gas system, threaded muzzle.
