Questions about Rethreading barrels

Guys, I have a few Nesika j barrels in the ppc chambering. I was wanting to know if I could rethread and rechamber to fit my rem 700 action.
It seems like such a waste to junk them out. Hart,Shilen and
2 Kriegers.

ya if there is enough straight taper you should have no problem setting it back and rethreading it

jp,Yes there is a way to keep them out of the scrap tub. Taking that everything is set up concentrically, turn off the old thread then lo temp silver solder a sleeve on the blanked shank. Then simply rethread to what you want. It's been a life saver for me many times over. You can also rechamber on the same setup but make sure your setup is not flawed. LOL
