Questions about 6mm 55 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips

I found an excellent deal on some 6mm 55 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip bullets, but not sure if I should buy them. Got a couple questions:

1. Could someone with some of these bullets give me a measurement from base to ogive on these small 6mm bullets?

2. Assuming I can't get them real close to the lands, what kind of accuracy drop off could I expect if I had to jump them quite a ways?

Boat tail to ogive (Bearing surface length) is around 230 thou. Base to ogive 325 thou.
They are super accurate in my 12 twist 6BR and didn't mind a jump either. I tried seating them right out to lands with only 70 thou in neck and seated in about another 100 thou. All worked reasonably well. A deadly varmint bullet. The ogive is not clearly defined, but rather a long entry. Should expect em to shoot in the 2's in a good barrel either way. BUT - every barrel likes different projectiles so try a couple if you can. But if you don't end up wanting them and can work out a way of getting them to me here in Aus, I would take em.

I worked up a load in my 12 twist 6 Br last week using AA2230 and 71/2's. Accuracy was at 3900 fps + with 3/4" groups at 300 yards.

Don't remember if I've ever checked them for speed but with them hanging out of the neck getting close to the lands in a long throated chamber, the accuracy was hard to believe. That's one of my "go to" bullets in my 6BR. ;D

Thanks guys. My 70 grain ballistic tips measure around .429 base to ogive. I can load them with a full caliber length in the neck right up to the lands. So with the 55s I would either have to jump them around .1 inch or put less bullet in the neck. Not sure I want to do either.

It would purely be a varmint load, so if they would hold one inch or smaller at 200 yards I could be okay with that.

I checked prices on-line and the local price is not that great after all. I will probably buy 100 later on, but I'm going to pass on the 250 pack for now.

This is out of my 40X (6mm Remington) with the standard 1-10 twist at 100 yards.
Without doing the measuring I can't tell you what the jump is but I do remember it's on the long side. Will gladly do it if you need to know.
These bullets have worked very well for me over the years on groundhogs. My only complaint has been the multiple ogive readings you'll get in a box.

Thanks for the offer, but that's okay. I will try them at some point regardless. If they shoot, great, if not, no big deal. I'm going to try some V-max 65 grain bullets first. Seems like the jackets are thinner on them and I get a better splat with Hornady bullets.

I use them in my early M-722 244 Rem with a slender 26" 1-12 twist barrel. I get under 1MOA groups at 4000+ fps.
