Question: Should I use Leupold mounts/rings or have my GS lap new ones

I have had my gunsmith lap in new expensive rings for the bench rest rifles (I've sold, damnit). Were those the best mounts and rings or do you guys just install Leupold standard mounts and rings? I suppose it's like anything else, everything great costs a lot of money.

There are many good quality rings out there(NF, Seekins etc), this last rifle I used Burris signature Z rings, they have the plastic inserts, no need to lap, worked perfectly.
