Question on new Dasher Brass

I may have missed the memo about this part of the brass.
But why is the neck so long.
Just spent a while trimming length to 1.556 +- a thousandths
Got a sore thumb from my calipers.

Artifact of the manufacturing process. Shiraz decided to leave the neck long to facilitate more bullet seating options. Those who are starting from scratch can spec reamers to take advantage of the longer neck. Those who have existing chambers, will need to trim according to their respective needs. HTH.

I found a shell holder that fit for my press and primer tool.
Had one in tool box.
