Question about that Guatemalan IMG brass.

The flash hole is said to be smaller than American Comm. Brass. Will we have to get new decapping pins for our dies or will our old pins still work?? Thanks for any help guys. Phil...

It is about .004 smaller. I de-burr my flash holes and the tool I use will also uniform the diameter as it is turned inside the case. Therefore it is not a problem. However, it would be a problem if that was not done. The brass is top notch and worth the effort. Hope this helps. Bill

What brand of tool is it billmo? Not sure I remember who made mine but I think it's a Sinclair without going downstairs to look at it. The shaft that goes through the hole on yours is like a drill bit or what?? Thanks again, Phil...

I bought 2000 rounds of this brass and thought I had hit paydirt until I started working with it. The small flash hole I overcame with a under sized decapping tool from Redding but the flash holes are so far off center on a lot of the stuff that you keep breaking the decapping pin. I bought the tool from Sinclair thinking I could uniform and make the hole concentric at the same time but again the hole is so far off center that it didn't work. Bottom line, I threw most of them away.
