I don't know a lot about sleeved actions but my understanding is that at one time they were popular in benchrest shooting and I've run across older guns once in a while that have been sleeved. My question is, in terms of fitting them to a stock, were they all custom fit to the stock or were there some standard footprints that they had? Do modern sleeves have standard sizes? For example, could I take a old sleeved action and resleeve it with a modern sleeve that would fit a stock that was inletted for say a Panda action or something like that?
FWIW, my interest isn't building a competition gun. Sometimes I've seen old BR guns sell cheap that would make fun range toys and trying to figure what I could with one next time I see one.
